Venue Overview

Prestwold Hall is a magnificent Grade I listed stately home, set within 2,500 acres of rolling parkland in the heart of the Leicestershire Wolds. Steeped in almost 400 years of history, it has been the home of the Packe family since 1649 and remains one of the most distinguished wedding venues in Leicestershire today.

Originally remodelled between 1842 and 1844 by renowned Scottish architect William Burn, Prestwold Hall is celebrated as one of the finest examples of Neoclassical architecture in England. Inside, couples are greeted by elegant reception rooms, a striking Entrance Hall with Italian-inspired marbled plasterwork, grand staircases and an impressive collection of period furniture and artwork, all of which add to the venue's timeless charm.

Today, Prestwold Hall is an exclusive-use wedding venue, giving couples and their guests private access to the house, beautifully manicured gardens and luxury accommodation throughout their celebration. Whether you're dreaming of an outdoor ceremony in the Georgian Gazebo, exchanging vows in the light-filled Orangery or celebrating inside the historic Hall itself, Prestwold Hall offers an unforgettable setting for a truly elegant wedding day.

Ceremony Spaces

Whether you're dreaming of an elegant indoor ceremony or exchanging your vows surrounded by beautiful gardens, Prestwold Hall offers a choice of stunning settings for your wedding day.

For indoor ceremonies, the magnificent Library provides a light-filled and elegant space, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the estate, beautiful wooden bookcases and a grand fireplace creating a timeless backdrop as you say "I do". Couples make their entrance through the impressive Orangery before joining one another in the Library for the ceremony.

If you've always imagined an outdoor wedding, Prestwold Hall's licensed Georgian Gazebo is nestled within the beautifully landscaped gardens, offering sweeping views across the Leicestershire countryside. During the warmer months, it's a truly picturesque setting for a romantic outdoor ceremony.

For couples planning a traditional church wedding, the historic Church of St Andrew is located just a short walk from the Hall within the Prestwold Estate, allowing you to enjoy a church ceremony before celebrating your reception at Prestwold Hall.

What Our Prestwold Hall Couple Had to Say

‍ ‍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“We absolutely loved working with Trey and Kim. They had previously filmed my daughter's wedding and so it was a natural choice to go with them again. The resulting film is simply stunning and captures the spirit of our wedding day so beautifully and well. They somehow manage to stay in the background and yet capture so many impromptu moments. We cried when we saw the final video. They are brilliant to work with, organised and just lovely people to be alongside you on your wedding day. I cannot recommend them more highly and everyone who we have shared our video with is blown away by the quality of the production. Thank you so very very much, our memories will live forever through your film. '‘

Tips for Couples Getting Married Here

After filming several weddings at Prestwold Hall, here are a few tips that can make your day even smoother:

Allow Time for Golden Hour

If your schedule allows, setting aside just 10-15 minutes around sunset can create some of the most beautiful footage of the entire day.

Don't Rush the Couple Portraits

There's no need to disappear for an hour. We usually recommend splitting portraits into two short sessions, giving you more time with your guests.

Consider an Unplugged Ceremony

Having guests put their phones away allows everyone to stay present while ensuring your photos and film remain distraction-free.

Build a Little Breathing Room Into Your Timeline

A few extra minutes between key events helps keep the day relaxed and gives everyone time to enjoy each moment.
